Welcome to Barry Wanderers Cricket Club
Barry Wanderers entered into the Thomas Carroll East Wales Conference in 2000. This year the Wanderers' 1st XI will play in Division 2 of the Conference; the 2nd XI will play in Division 3, both teams having gained promotion in 2010 and 2009. In midweek, we play in the First Division of the VoG Midweek League. On Sundays, and on some weekday afternoons, there are friendlies played against teams from all over the Country. The Club also has a Youth Section, with indoor sessions taking place at Barry Sports Centre for under 11s on Sundays from the 23/01/2010 between 15:00-16:00. The Wanderers' home ground is at the new Hayes Point Complex, the old Sully Hospital, on Hayes Road in Sully.
After two very positive seasons, with back to back double promotions in the league on a Saturday, Barry Wanderers is a very positive place to play, The Club welcomes new players, please contact the webmaster on g_lanagan@hotmail.co.uk for more information. Nets begin in the New Year. Barry Nets will take place on Sundays from the 23rd of January; 16:00-17:00 for the Youth Section, 17:00-18:00 for the adults. Cardiff Nets will take place on Tuesdays from the 25th of January between 20:30-21:30. Look forward to seeing new players and old players there.
