Barry Wanderers Cricket Club entered into league cricket in Division 5 of Thomas Carroll East Wales Conference in 2000. This year the Wanderers' 1st XI and 2nd XI will both be playing in Division 3 of the Conference, with the 1st XI gaining promotion in 2004, and the 2nd XI being promoted in 2005 and 2007. There is also league cricket played in midweek, where we play in the Second Division of the Vale of Glamorgan Midweek League. On Sundays, and on some weekday afternoons, there are friendlies played against teams from all over the Country.
The Wanderers' home ground is at the new Hayes Point Complex on Hayes Road in Sully. The Hayes Point Complex is situated on the old Sully Hospital site, next to Ty Hafan.
We run an annual tour. This years tour sees a change of venue from Tourquay to Cornwall. Due to a longer league season in Cornwall, the tour will take place a fortnight later in the middle of September.
